birds and bees aint buzzin

With a newborn running the show, there seems to be no time for mom/dad playtime.
When there is, I'm MUCH too exhausted. Has any one else had this problem??

Last week Rue surprised us and took a nap.
Chris said, 'get upstairs'
We jumped on the bed and started kissing.
Chris took my glasses off and put them on the floor.
He said 'why don't you light a candle?'
I got up, lit the wick, and took a step.
Crunch.
It was my glasses.
Then we heard him, 'waaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!"
Crap.
Extinguish candle.
Exhale frustration.

Hah, maybe next time....

(apparently when Rue grows up, his dad is going to ground him for every time he kept him from 'getting some')

Yes, yes....all too familiar. And when you are finally able to get a moment? And you are breastfeeding? Don't EVEN think about my breasts. When you have a tiny one latched on to you all day, there is nothing sexy about breasts. I was always so tired, but well aware that the effort was well worth it. Good luck!

Cross my heart this will pass. Y'all will get mommy and daddy time once again. But, yeah, babies can certainly take a toll.

Throwin' my two cents in...getting back into being physically intimate with your partner takes some serious intentionality. But it is important to make time for it!
